The term "jukebox" came into use in the United States around 1940, apparently derived from the familiar usage "juke joint", derived from the Gullah word "juke" or "joog" meaning disorderly, rowdy, or wicked.
"Juke joint" (or jook joint) is the vernacular term for an informal establishment featuring music, dancing, gambling, and drinking, primarily operated by African American people in the southeastern United States.
Another closely related term is "Juke house" which is a small roadside establishment in the southeastern United States where you can eat and drink and dance to music provided by a jukebox
Interesting, isn't it? Words we didn't have the foggiest idea where they come from!

Wow... There are very good songs.
I was listening to the songs and my mom came and said, "that beautiful songs, so if it was music" Jaja...
I love the lyrics of the songs.
"And I will just say hello,
To the folks that you know,
Tell them you won't be long,
They'll be happy to know that as I saw you go
You were singing this song"
** I did not know that "folks" is a synonym for "people".
I also love this song:
-Maybe you'll sit and sigh, wishing that I were near
Then maybe you'll ask me to come back again
And maybe I'll say "Maybe"
**Jess**
This is a fun activity where we can see the different stages that had the music.
Some songs from the early years are really unknown, but the song "The Mood", I heard in the movie "Juego de gemelas".
From the 90's I know more songs and I don't feel so uneducated :S.

Hello teacher finally found the activities, this activity because I knew I loved many songs he had heard in my life and why they are the year I was born, my family was rewarding to return to hear songs that were part of his life, the song that I liked most was fantasic of mariah carey, and know that this tool has the ability to play songs that go according to the year is that we were born but the most interesting is that we can continue to use Actal if we believe it appropriate through our computer.
ATENTAMENTE : LULU START
